Best Day of your Life or the Best Deal you can get?

It's Your Wedding!

We get a lot of calls asking about our prices from Brides and Grooms to be, just phoning around for the Best Deal.

Why?

You have spent months looking for THE DRESS, which is going to make you feel like a princess. You have spent months looking for the right venue, which will serve delicious food and make your guests happy to be there.  (They have also spent a lot of money attending your wedding).
You have chosen your photographer because of their individual style.
Your cake is a design which you chose yourself to match your theme, with the fillings of your choice.

So why should your wedding entertainment not be the Best too?

Isn't your Wedding Day supposed to be the Best Day of your Life and one you are going to remember for a very long time?

This is why we can't believe that some brides and grooms to be are looking around for the cheapest deal they can get!  We have a saying in th Entertainment Business - "If you pay peanuts, you get monkeys..."

It's better to pick entertainment that you have either seen at a Wedding Fayre, at a venue or that has been recommended by your venue?  Why go on the internet to find the cheapest deal you can get? You could end up with cowboy traders and be left in tears, or they may never turn up!

Why hire some random company, cheap-as-chips off the internet and find out that they normally work as eg. Plumbers, but would welcome the additional income (without any experience to deal with it!) and who are based hundreds of miles away!

There are so many companies who do "deals" with online Groups, but when a deal seems to good to be true, it usually is, please beware.  There have been lots of companies close and lots of disappointed Brides and Grooms to be out there who have lost lots of money.

We run Fun Casinos - we have spent years working in real casinos, onboard cruise liners and all over the world - we have a wealth of experience to offer, as well as being "Dream Team" recommended suppliers in gorgeous exclusive venues like the Ashes, Pendrell Hall, the Moat House Acton Trussell, the Boathouse at Aston Marina and the new fabulous Mill Barns.  We are well known to the Wedding Co-ordinators at the venues and we are local (so we are not driving cross country to get to your wedding in any weather).

Do your homework - check the suppliers your venue recommends, they have been hand-picked because of their professionalism, appearance, the standard of what they do, their locality and timekeeping.

It's your Big Day - make it a good one!

A casino at a Wedding?

Wedding Blog

How does a casino fit in with a wedding?  That’s a great question and one which many engaged couples probably don’t think of naturally!

Wedding fun casinos can compliment your Big Day and make lots of memories.

Having your own fun casino on your wedding day is a whole lot of fun and can be used in many different ways...

·         To amuse your guests while the happy couple are having their photographs taken

·         As part of a drinks reception in the afternoon

·         After the speeches when there is a bit of a lull and everyone needs to move around

·         As an icebreaker when the two families don’t really know each other

·         When the wedding party has to move out to clear the room for the evening – we could be set up and waiting for you to come into another area or bar

·         As a surprise for H2B!

·         For the avid James Bond 007 fan

·         When you know there are a lot of guests who will not dance

·         Perfect for small wedding parties

·         Into the evening...

Getting married in Las Vegas?  Why not come back and throw a huge party for your family and friends to celebrate and recreate the Vegas feel – we have tables, backdrops, slot machines and even Vegas Showgirls.

How does it work on the day?

We turn up with our tables at the appointed time (having contacted the venue and made all the arrangements in advance), set up the casino tables and change into our formal wear.  All guests are given fun money - like Monopoly money, but you can have it customised with your names, dates, photos, etc., and play commences.  We usually open the tables for up to a three hour session, and about 15mins before we call the last three spins on the Roulette and the last three hands on the blackjack or poker.  We then find the winners – the players who have accumulated the most fun money and chips overall and they are given the prizes (the DJ, toastmaster, best man groom could do this if wanted).  We then pack away the tables and equipment leaving you free to enjoy the rest of your Big Day.

Other add-ons available including Casino Royale and Vegas packages, Ice Sculptures and Vodka Luges, Giant Games (perfect for the kids), Magicians and much more...

We have had a great start to 2012 with a busy first quarter.

Events included the staff party for the fabulous Peckforton Castle, the Young Farmer's Diamond Jubilee Ball at the Staffordshire County Showground, with a Diamonds are Forever theme; a late Christmas party at the snowy Buxton Palace Hotel, where Las Vegas came to Derbyshire for the evening; a Hollywood themed corporate event in Stafford and a Vegas night for a huge global company at the lovely Premier Suite in Cannock. Add in a few Uni Balls, weddings and 40th parties to add to the mix!

We haven't been sat on our laurels though! We have also attended Wedding Fayres at the lovely Sandon Hall (ST18), the Stonehouse Hotel (Stone) and the St Leonards Club in Stafford and we will also be at the Ashes Exclusive Country House in Endon (ST9) next weekend (25/3/12) for their Tasting Day with the lovely Jenksinsons Caterers (yum!)

Now just writing all that has made me feel tired!

Future events for 2012 include lots of weddings, local Rotary charity fundraisers, school summer balls, and much more... We already have booking for New Years' Eve 2012 and summer Saturdays are starting to fill up with wedding bookings...

Do you know how well a fun casino works at a wedding? Between the speeches and the evening starting, when day guests are milling around listlessly and evening guests are arriving, the casino provides amusement, a great ice-breaker (discussing how much is won and lost!) and a diversion for those who have been sitting for hours! No money changes hands though there is a bit of competitiveness to see who can win the prizes! Can also be used to entertain guests while the Bride & Groom have their photos taken or as part of the evening reception.

Best to book early for any specific dates required and a happy 2012 to you!

Bring on 2012!

Another fantastic Christmas season over for another year, but it's the perfect time now to get planning 2012's festivities!

We have provided luxury fun casino tables to the fab boutique hotel at St John Street in Manchester, the Oxford Belfry, the glorious Peckforton Castle in Cheshire, Licensed to Thrill Christmas party nights at the Ramada Sutton Coldfield, the Britannia Hotel in Nottingham for a Prohibition themed party, Winter weddings at the Ashes, S-o-T and to the new Post House in Stafford for New Years' Eve (plus many more wonderful locations)...

For weddings this year, why not add in a Wii with a large screen to provide fun for all the family as well as the casino tables to get your guests mingling over what fortunes they have won and lost! What about a few giant games al fresco for a summer wedding? A Close-up Magician also keeps the guests guessing (excuse the pun!) and provides intelligent amusement for all ages.

Daniel Craig aka James Bond 007 is set to re-appear in a new movie later in 2012 and our Casino Royale and Vegas packages represent excellent value for themed events!

While the events run smoothly, there's a whole lot of prep goes into the planning and setting up - and that's what we do best! Being a family run business, we have the time and energy to source entertainment to suit our clients needs - eg. Vegas Showgirls compliment our Vegas nights wonderfully and add in a photographer and you have the cherished memories to keep! Let us do the leg work.

Friday and Saturday nights are filling up fast for 2012 so if you have some dates in mind, pls contact us to put yours in the diary.

Cheers to a healthy, wealthy and prosperous 2012!

40th James Bond Party

Had a super time last night at the Meynell Ingram Arms in Hoar Cross, Staffs.
Mark's 40th surprise party went down a treat - don't know how Lorraine managed to keep it a secret and get him dressed in a Tux to come! Friends and family had travelled from all over to attend.
The guests enjoyed a feast of fish n chips in the marquee followed by some gaming on the Roulette and Blackjack tables, competing to see who would be the winner.
Birthday cake and a few impromptu speeches added to the evening's festivities.

Summer 2010

It's a bit quieter on the fun casino front at the moment during the summer holidays - we are busy at weekends attending weddings and parties and busy during the week keeping our boys happy!

We did a fantastic James Bond themed 50th birthday party last week at the Moorville Hall Hotel nr Leek in Staffordshire. Roulette, Blackjack (21) and Craps (Dice) tables graced the bar surrounded by James Bond backdrops, large flame lights and a Wii to engage the young (and not so young) attending. A sumptous buffet and disco completed the entertainment and a super time was had by all.

Cressbrook Hall in deepest Derbyshire was another spectacular location for a wedding party where the casino was the main entertainment recently. Four tables -Roulette, Blackjack, Craps and Wheel of Fortune kept the guests busy from after a late wedding breakfast into the darkness....with the guests vying to see who was going to be the highest roller and win the bottle of Champagne!

The Ashes Exclusive Country wedding venue is always in our thoughts - what a fantastic location to get married. Ben and Sarah have done a superb job of transforming some old horse stables and barns into a glorious setting - the perfect place for the Big Day.

Our new tables and wheels have been out showing off with our new logo on - plush royal blue, lovely!

Christmas bookings are now being taken, book now and don't be disappointed!
